Laytonsville Golf Course is an excellent well-maintained public golf course tucked away in rural Montgomery County and about a 30-minute drive from Bethesda, Maryland. The 18-hole course in Laytonsville, Maryland features 6,221 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The rye grass course has a course rating of 70.1 with a slope rating of 115. You’ll find that this scenic and playable golf course offers a mixture of some tight and narrow fairways as well as some long par 4's to provide a nice challenge. Water hazards come into play on two holes and there are several elevated greens on the course.

Laytonsville Golf Course opened in 1973 and was designed by (R) Ault, Clark, & Associates. In June of 2002 an extensive course renovation was completed. 2002 Renovations included the addition of 35 greenside bunkers and 19 fairway bunkers, expanding of tee box areas, more women friendly tees and change from a Par 70 to 71. As a result of these improvements and the great value offered Laytonsville Golf Course is one of the more popular public golf courses in Montgomery County.

Besides a great golf course, there are also excellent facilities including a new, full-service clubhouse, a putting green, driving range and chipping green. Laytonsville Golf Course is host of individual and group golf lessons for golfers of all abilities. One of the premier learning centers for youth, Laytonsville Golf Course offers clinics and specialized summer golf camps and programs. Dean Greer manages the course as the Golf Professional/Manager.
